Meet Sir Mark Walport, Chief Executive of UKRI

Online event free

Sir Mark Walport, Chief Executive of UK Research & Innovation (UKRI), will deliver a live-streamed presentation.
He will deliver a short address on collaboration between industry and academia and then be interviewed by Prof Steph Haywood.
He will no doubt touch on topics as diverse as UK universities’ response to new coronavirus, Brexit, international collaboration, REF, KEF, research funding, the Government’s plans for ARPA and much else besides.
Attendees will have an opportunity to put their own questions to Sir Mark.
This event will be free and is open exclusively to academic staff working in member institutions of the Engineering Professors’ Council. (That’s almost every university in the UK with an engineering department).
Registration is essential so that we can send you joining instructions.
We expect a high demand for this event, so please book as soon as possible to reserve your place.
